Please find attached the names of those appointed to the National Education Board. I have also attached unsigned soft copy of the report from the selection panel for purposes of understanding the process. The names are expected to be Gazetted anytime soon

I was pleased with a long and diverse list of the shortlisted candidates. This panel was prepared to commit time to interviewing many applicants. Compared to the Panel on the selection of Chair and Members of the Teachers Service Commission, Janet Ouko's panel was impressive going by the quality and diversity of the members that made the shortlist. One hopes that the diversity will be carried to the final list of the Board.

Last week, the Selection Panel for Appointments to the National Education Board completed the Interview processes. Today, the Panel submitted its Report consisting of 3 names for the position of the Chair and 13 persons for the Board membership

The Cabinet Secretary has 7 days to make  Appointments as per the provisions of the Basic Education Act 2013 including appointing the Chairperson and 8 committee members.
