Can't switch between layers

Hello, I am unable to annotate or switch between different layers, as the system appears to be stuck on the coreference layer and does not allow me to change it. I was wondering whether you have encountered a similar problem before or might know how to resolve it.

Hard to tell. Maybe try restarting INCEpTION or the browser, check if you already marked the
document as finished (would say "read only" in the bar above the editor then), maybe you
are looking at the data from another user (which would also be read-only then)...

What does it mean "stuck on the coreference layer" and what happens when you try changing it?
