Hi,
I'm trying to import several hundred documents at once into a project.
These are UIMA CAS XMI (XML 1.0) files. If I try to import 347
files (the # I happen to have in a directory for the project), then
after I hit import, there is a brief spinning of a wheel for a few
seconds, and then nothing. There is no error message, and it's as if
I didn't hit "import" at all. The log file also shows no activity.
I can import all the files in a series of smaller number of file
imports (the most I've done is 173 at a time), and in the end they
are imported successfully, so the files are okay. This is inception
40.3 (2026-04-28 07:45:01, build 6f34582a). This is as a server on
a remote machine, not using the embedded database.
I have another instance of inception running on my laptop, with
inception 40.1 and the embedded database, for which I have no problem
importing the 347 documents.
Any thoughts on what might be going on? I'm not sure how to approach
this w/o a message in the log file. While a workaround is of course
to load less files at a time, it would be more better to not have to
do that. I realize that this could be something very
system-dependent.
thanks,
Seth
