I have started a new project in which we will use Inception to annotate descriptions of animals with rare diseases (from the OMIA database) with the uPheno2 ontology (a cross-species phenotype ontology). I imported the upheno-basic.owl file (from
https://github.com/obophenotype/upheno/releases/tag/v2025-10-12) into Inception as a knowledge base. I can search the knowledgebase and I can assign terms manually in the annotation view, but I dont seem to get any recommendations from the Named Entity Linker Recommender. I only have annotated 2 short texts with it, does it take a while (i.e. more annotations) before the recommender kicks in or am I doing something wrong? The screenshot shows an example, I hoped the recommender would pick up ‘muscle tissue atrophy’ as a suggestion for ‘muscular atrophy’.
