Validations

Hi,

Is there a way I can define validations that will be applied to an annotation before saving, such as requiring a feature to be filled? And validations on a document that will be applied before saving, such as ensuring that all characters except whitespaces and punctuation are annotated?

You can mark a feature as "required" in the project settings.
If such a feature has not been filled, then a regular annotator should by default not be able to mark the document as finished.

There is no validation that checks if the entire text is covered in annotations.
You could possibly pre-create the annotations before importing into INCEpTION and ask the annotators to only fill in the (required) labels.
