We would like to request your support to disseminate the call for applications for a project entitled “Implementation of the Gelia Castillo Award for Research on Social Innovations in Health (GCARSIH) 2024”. GCARSIH is a joint initiative of the Philippine Council for Health Research and the Program for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Health (PSIEH) of the National Institutes of Health.
GCARSIH aims to recognize social innovations that address persistent, societal and systemic health challenges in the Philippines, acknowledge their initial outcomes and impact in the communities, support promising innovations for further research and development in order to amplify results, and jumpstart sustainability and scale up. We believe that new knowledge can also be generated from high impact social innovations addressing priority health needs of communities. We also believe that innovation can increase the capacity of health systems.
The submission period for the award was opened last August 15, 2024. Information has been disseminated through networks of DOST-PCHRD and Program for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Health (PSIEH) of the National Institutes of Health.
