Why cannot I see the button in gmail inbox toolbar ?

I am trying to build a chrome extension for bulk tagging functionality by using gmail API.
I am using inboxsdk API for button creation in gmail inbox.
The button which I am using will be displayed in the gmail tool-bar next to delete button in existing gmail scenario.
Also for bulk tagging functionality to work on button click I am using gmail API.
In the sense when we click the button the selected mails should get tagged with the "general" label in gmail inbox.

Actually when I am trying to execute the chrome extension I could not find any functionality UI in gmail interface. Also when I am trying to debug the code I could not find any errors. So Now I am not understanding where it is going wrong.

This is the actual needed functionality UI developed using inboxsdk API

The code used for the functionality to work is posted below. I am also attaching the zip file of extension. Anyone with relevant solution will be greatly appreciated.

In tag.js, you defined an updateLabel function, but you never call it.
