Our team (WebOS Ports) is developing a mobile OS called LuneOS (formerly known WebOS Port Open WebOS), based on the HP/LG's Open webOS which is the open sourced variant of webOS 3.x which featured on the HP TouchPad.

While open sourcing HP/LG removed the Exchange ActiveSync capabilities from the Email App due to licensing and we'd like to bring this back using InboxApp since it's open source as well and uses web technologies just like we do.

We're very curious to learn about your licensing options, so far I have only seen the $99,- fee for developers, but there has been no mention yet about account/device license fees. I understand that still a lot is to be determined and it the works, so I decided to just place it out here so it's visible :)

The sync engine on GitHub is AGPL licensed, so you're obviously free to use that. :)

We've started rolling out the Inbox Developer Program for early users, which costs $99 and let's you sync 100 accounts for dev+testing. Our production tier pricing will be different, but we haven't announced it yet.

Here's a link where you can sign up right now, though we're just soft launching it for a week or two: https://beta.inboxapp.com

I'm interested to hear more about LuneOS-- email me off-list and we can chat?
