Good afternoon,

I just want to clarify that I'm planning to do the 20 mile walk but not volunteer this year. I'm currently thinking of starting at about 7AM. I'd be glad to meet people on th porch of the Cathedral at that time.

I won't be at The Crossing in about 45 minutes, but will be there next week. Have a good service!

Ken

>> As you requested, there is a link to my Walk Page below. Feel free to share this with appropriate people at The Crossing. I won't be there this evening, but will be there next Thursday, the Thursday before the Walk.

>> On Sunday, May 2, I will be participating in Project Bread's 2010 Walk for Hunger. This year's event is an especially important one, and I hope that you will support me! Since 1969, caring people from every background, united in the spirit of helping others, have come together to take part in this wonderful tradition to help feed hungry families in their communities.
>>
>> Project Bread's 2009 Status Report on Hunger showed us that hunger is on the rise in Massachusetts, and that we need a comprehensive approach to address it. The need has never been greater. I'm walking because I know that I can help my neighbors who are in need through The Walk for Hunger.
>>
>> With the economy still struggling and many in our community facing unemployment, many families are seeing their monthly income stretched beyond capacity. They are forced to go without food in order to pay their rent, utility, and medical bills. The demand for emergency food has never been greater with pantries and meal programs supported by Project Bread serving 57 million meals last year alone. Hunger is not just an urban problem — it exists in nearly every community throughout the state.
>>
>> The money that I raise by walking as much as I can of the 20-mile route will directly help hungry people. Funds raised through the Walk support more than 400 emergency food programs in 135 communities in Massachusetts. Every dollar counts for the people who are unable to get through the week with enough food.
