Hello, all. I am looking for a sublet to fill a gap of two months,
July and August. I have been very happy living here. It is a the
house, room, location, and roommates are all wonderful. But I am
trying to relocate to someplace less expensive due to an unexpected
job change and looking for a sublet to make the transition smoother.
Here are the stats:
The room is very nice with wood floors and is furnished with a double,
platform bed, dresser, chair, bookcase (with some books already on
them), curtains, and desk with rolling chair. The room overlooks the
backyard garden and has two windows that get good sun. Bedding and
towels are also available if you need them. There is some storage room
in the basement, which is well-sealed and temperate, if you need it.
The house is quite nice, and the common spaces are all furnished and
include a sun room equipped for intensive lounging, a living room with
TV and DVD/VCR player and lots of comfortable seating, a dining room
that rarely sees use, a cozy breakfast nook, a spacious, full kitchen,
and a recently remodeled bathroom with a tub and shower.
The house is the bottom floor of a 3-floor, two family house. The
upstairs neighbors and their lovely cat are sort of extended
roommates; the houses are somewhat integrated into one. We're looking
for someone friendly and considerate. We are open to all genders,
orientations, etc.
Current residents enjoy books, heightened dialogue, cooking, and
gardening. We're working on composting and container vegetable
gardening in the back.
Close to the Stony Brook Orange Line stop and #39 and #41 bus stops;
good location for connection to the Longwood medical area,
Northeastern, Fine Arts Museums, Angell Memorial, and the Faulkner and
Shattuck Hospitals. The commute downtown is not bad, about 30 minutes.
Centre Street is only a couple minutes walk. We are only a short walk
from Rhythm and Muse, the Alchemist, a 7-11, and a CVS. The little
(Boylston St) City Feed is on the way to the Stony Brook T-stop.
There is a wrap-around driveway with a parking space available. There
is coin laundry on site (we just got a new, high-efficiency washer!).
Wireless internet available.
Rent is $750; no utilities or other fees.
Room will be available July 1.
Sorry, no pets, no smoking, and, above all, no smoking pets.
Rental application. First month's rent due upon move-in, and second by
Aug 1.

So, pass the info along if you know anyone, and send some prayers out
for me and all those transitioning between homes! Thanks! ~Jenna
