Hi there,

We run a WordPress website and I tried to add the Naturewatch widget today with no luck.

Simply copying the html code into the widget section on the WordPress site simply ends up in screeds of code being shown on the front end.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Andy

From the post page you will see on the right hand side of the box where you add your text etc there are 2 different tabs - one is Visual and one is Text.

Make sure when you add this widget that you do so in Text mode and not in visual mode as any code must be added as text.  By putting the code in on the visual tab (which is always the default for posts) you are saying "this is how I want it displayed" :)

I haven't used wordpress so don't know much about it, but there is a discussion on the iNaturalist feedback forum
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/inaturalist/widget/inaturalist/gHAkCRMTqqA/ZCxQgfTSAgAJ

That might be relevant.

Tony is right - there are several threads solving the issues of running widgets in Wordpress.

There is also problems running the widgets on https websites which I have posted on the iNat forum.
