Hi toni
I could not find your record on https://inaturalist.nz/ under okura, monro, toni.monro or manuka on yesterday’s date.
Can u either get the URL for your record and post that to us, or try to load it again? Did u have any trouble with that? let us know if u got stuck. Had to ever used iNaturalist before?
A close up of the affected branches may reveal sooty mould and possibly little white specks which could be scale insects. These in combination can sometimes cause a problem for manuka (and kanuka). Sadly these can sometimes cause quite a lot of damage. There are oil sprays you can use, but is only partially effective.
Let’s hope it is a simple fix.
Here is an example: https://inaturalist.nz/observations/35352001 .
Cheers
colin
