Howdy,

Not at present, no. We don't really have any automated import
features like that. While it would be fine if every one of your photos
corresponded to a single observation, often that's not the case.

Have you tried http://www.inaturalist.org/observations/import? I
think that will be a bit faster than the process you described. You
still might need to use that tag, though.

These are all cool. For captive / cultivated animals, though, it would
be good if you clicked "no" next to "Is the organism
wild/naturalized?" under the Data Quality Assessment (right column of
the observation page).

These are totally fine. Hopefully someone on the site can help you
narrow down your ID!

Thank you,

I did import them already :)

One other question:
Do you stock the imported image on your servers, or do you only connect to FLickr?

I asked this because some of my images still have the (c) in them, but I might change this when I find the time.
When I replace a photo on Flickr with a new version will it automatically updated on iNaturalist?

We only store the URLs of the images from external photo providers
like Flickr. If you change the license on Flickr, the license you use
on iNat won't update unless you edit and save the associated
observation on iNat.

okay, thank you.
I didn't want to update the license on Flickr (they are all already CC licenses), but I want to replace the photo on Flickr (with one which does not contain the copyright sign in it).
If I understood right this will be automatically change also the image on iNaturalist, since you only store the URL.

Actually it will result in a broken image url in iNat, b/c when you
replace a photo on Flickr the URLs change (the URL of the photo page
doesn't change, but the URL of the image file does), so you may have
to edit and save the observation on iNat.
