Umlaut in project URL

When project titles are used for the project URLs, umlaut characters in German language like ä, ö, ü are transcribed as a, o, u. (see, e.g. https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/tiere-und-pilze-in-frankfurts-botanischen-garten) Would it be possible to edit project URLs, so the correct transcriptions ae, oe, ue are used?
I could of course use "Gaerten" in the title, but that looks weird (outdated in print for centuries and only an emergency solution in early computer days or situations where the full character set is not available), on the other hand, the URL as it is now looks like a misspelling...

Any ideas?
