I have been using the iNaturalist app extensively for the last year to upload the majority of the 2800 records I have submitted.  However it has become unstable in the last few days and now repeatedly crashes.  Pretty much unusable.  I see the internal storage used by the App is now at 5.44 Gb  and cache is at 60.77 Mb.  It is a Huawei P10 and still has 18+ Gb of internal space available.  Any ideas?

App version: 1.11.9

log out then log in again. It's currently the only way to clear the cache

On my Android phone if I tap "log out" I get a message: "Are you sure you want to sign out? This will delete all your observations on this device." Is that what it means to clear the cache--delete the observations from my phone? I like having them there and so I've never logged out of the app on my phone. Maybe keeping 10,000 observations on my phone is not a great idea....

It should just delete them from the phone not the website. That's how the apple app works. Given the risk involved though it would be good to get some admin verification or someone else who uses the android app more. I have it on my work phone and am pretty sure i have logged out before but it's been a while

The message does say it won't affect the observations on the website. I just hate not to have them on my phone.

I think you can sync it again and get them back.  But really the app isn’t set up for viewing lots of observations
