Hi Valentin,
This is because the Cuvier's Gazelle is a globally endangered species, which means that iNaturalist automatically obscures the publicly visible coordinates of your observation. This is why the coordinates in your export are not exactly where you observed it. You can see the correct location on the map in iNaturalist, but others cannot (unless you have given them permission as part of a traditional project).
When you export your own observations, there are a series of private location fields, which is what you want for mapping true locations rather than the publicly displayed ones. It looks like you did not select those fields in your export. There is also an export field called "coordinates_obscured" which indicates whether or not the publicly-visible coordinates have been obscured (whether it happens due to your geoprivacy selection, or automatically for threatened taxa).
In the interest of security, we will either delete your attachment, or the entire thread if we can't delete the attachment alone.
Best,
Carrie

Hey iNaturalist community
I have a strange problem: I just exported some data from my trip to Morocco.
The coordinates in the export for my two observations of Cuvier's Gazelle are wrong, both some km off. The place displayed on the little map if you look on the website is correct, but if you export the csv-file, the coordinates are wrong. I did it a few times, it's all summed up in the attached file under the sheet Gazelle.
I randomly checked some other sightings and could not find mistakes. Do you have an idea what the problem could be?
Best regards
Valentin
