Welcome to the iNaturalist Google Group!
We use this group as an all-purpose forum for discussing the site, so please fire away with support requests, feature suggestions, etc. This is not a place to get help identifying organisms. That's what iNaturalist is for! If you have specific issues that include sensitive information, please email us directly at he...@inaturalist.org. We also have a Help page that has FAQs and other resources.
It’s possible the issue you are experiencing or the feature you’re requesting has already been discussed, so please use the search box to find a relevant thread and add to that one, if you can. It makes topical discussions much easier to follow.
Please Keep in Mind:
When describing a problem you have with the website, please include URLs! Seriously. When you say things like "my observation isn't showing the right date" we have no idea how to help you unless you include the URL (aka web address, like https://www.inaturalist.org/observations) of the page or pages in question. Otherwise we don't know what observation or project to which you are referring.
If you're describing a problem in one of the mobile apps, please tell us which app (Android or iPhone) and describe the what you are seeing in as much detail as possible (titles, layout).

If you are new to the group, your first post will have to be approved by our moderators, so if it doesn’t show up right away, please be patient.
iNaturalist’s Community Guidelines apply to this forum. Please abide by them and make this a welcoming and constructive place for everyone. If you find yourself getting emotional, take some time to cool off before writing a response you might regret.
When adding a new post, please add a tag to it - that will help us organize your feedback. Tags are located under the post text field.
If you have found a mistake or issue with a taxon, it's best to go to that taxon's page, click on "Curation" (under the graphs) and select "Flag for curation". You can then write a note about the issue. If you would like a taxon to be added, find the taxon's parent taxon (eg for a species, find the genus) and flag it for curation. Please provide links to sources if they're available.
iNaturalist staff follows and contributes to this forum, and we do consider feature requests that are made here, but not every request can be implemented.
