I'm trying to collect observations for an area (Moon Island off Swansea NSW Australia) to get support for a submission that Moon Island is included in new marine reserves currently planned.

I have set up a project which gains observation data for most fish, shark, ray, bird and marine mammal species EXCEPT the main ones I want to include as part of the argument for protection: grey nurse shark (Carcharias taurus), species of wobbegongs (Orectolobidae), eastern blue groper (Achoerodus viridis), marine turtles (Chelonioidea), weedy seadragons (Phyllopteryx taeniolatus) and other species less commonly seen it the area.

These are the species that will help clinch protection for the area but geo-obscuring means I can't get the observations included - even though I have made main myself.

Can anyone help?

Hi Tony, generally it's helpful if you can include links here, such as the project URL and any observations that don't fall inside the project. This FAQ answer may explain what you're seeing.

If you need to collect true locations of at-risk species, you'll need to a) use a traditional style project instead of a collection and b) get permission from users to view those coordinates.
