community ID issue

See this observation: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/16179784. I IDed this plant as Cyperus iria, then someone disagreed with the species and in the text suggested it might be another species Cyperus difformis, but IDed it as Cyperaceae family. Another expert added Cyperus difformis as an ID, to which I agreed. There is one older ID to family and two newer IDs to species, but it won't take those two species IDs as the community ID, still resolving only to family. This seems clearly wrong to me.

If the first ID is a Cyperus species, a disagreeing ID of Cyperaceae (family) is a disagreement with Cyperus (genus). Two IDs at species aren't enough to overcome the disagreement with the genus (isn't greater than 2/3 agreement).

If they were confident it was a Cyperus species, silversea_starsong should/would have IDed as Cyperus (genus), not Cyperaceae.
