The only difference between the two computers I can find is the audio drivers. On the PC the speakers don't work on, I have AMD High Def Audio. On the office PC the speakers do work on, I have IDT High Def Audio CODEC. The IDT is much older than the AMD so I don't know why IDT is working when AMD doesn't.
