Players can explore a large jungle in The Sims 4 Jungle Adventure. Exploring unprepared can be dangerous, so this guide's focus is to help you be prepared and provide some guidance on what to watch for while exploring. Getting started is as simple as using your Sim's phone to 'travel', selecting a cabin in Selvadorada and paying rent for as many days as you can afford. If your focus is going to be exploration, pick something cheap and save money for supplies and antidote if you get poisoned!
If you took my advice to bring supplies and maybe a tent, it should not be impossible to find the temple within a day. Simply keep your eyes peeled for all of the gates and explore them. With adequate supplies, you can avoid most of the jungle's most inconvenient obstacles. Since the location of the temple may be completely random, there's no point in me giving you a full walkthrough of the jungle. However, I did notice something that MAY be relevant.
It features gameplay similar to The Sims 3: World Adventures. Sims can book a vacation to Selvadorada, where they can develop their Selvadoradian culture skill and experience the Latin world. Sims can also go out into the jungle to traverse across large landscapes, developing their archaeology skill. In the jungle, they can hack through vines to find a temple, in which they must figure out how to work around various traps and skeletons to reach the grand treasure chest at the end.
The post release of the Game Pack garnered controversy online as several players reported the jungle caused performance issues due to the larger size and detail of the world. EA silently addressed this in the following patch which permanently changed the texture resolution for the entire game from 2048x2048 to 1024x1024, in hopes to combat the lag experienced by players on lower end devices. Jungle Adventure offers Sims a brand new vacation world to visit, called Selvadorada. Selvadorada is based on the Latin American region surrounded by vast expanses of jungle, called Belomisia Jungle, that has hidden ruins to explore, treasure chests to loot, and ancient Omiscan temples with various puzzles and traps that Sims have to endure, in order to get to the grand treasure. Alongside the jungle Selvadorada includes a small settlement, called Puerto Llamante Marketplace, in which Sims can interact with locals and try out new food, raising their Selvadoradian culture skill. Sims can also purchase gear from the markets in order to be more prepared for the jungle.
Inside the jungles of Selvadorada there are many forms of locations for Sims to explore. Many waterfalls and beautiful scenery, dominated with bridges and passageways that can lead to natural pools, quaint lagoons with fishing spots, overgrown gardens and even a plane crash site. These passageways usually require Sims to cut through vines, that will lead them to an adventure in the form of chance cards. The jungle also contains natural dangers such as bees and spiders, that can be annoying to unprepared Sims.
While Sims are exploring the jungle world, they may find ancient artifacts and treasure through treasure chests and dig piles, scattered throughout Belomisia Jungle. The new archaeology skill heavily focuses on digging up, authenticating, and studying ancient artifacts. These artifacts and treasure, however, are no the only form of collectible, as relics are also introduced. They are usually found in forms of relic bases and tops, that can be fused together with a refined crystal to create a mystical relic. These mystical relics contain many forms of blessings and curses within them, that Sims can use to their advantage or disadvantage.
Skeletons are introduced as a temporary life state and summonable NPC. They are commonly found in the temples, scaring any adventurers trying to get to the treasure. Skeletons can also be temporary helpers that can do chores and look after children while their parents are away. They can be summoned through a rare relic and do not have bladder, hunger, energy and hygiene needs. Sims can become skeletons for 2 days through the use of a different relic.

The Jungle District, nestled within the Belomisia Jungle, is one of the hidden areas that make up Selvadorada unique in The Sims 4. Unlike the other areas that are readily available on the map, the Jungle District is hidden and requires Sims to adventure and clear paths at mystery gateways to access a series of lots. Although it may seem daunting at first, unlocking all the areas is a unique and rewarding experience. To journey to all areas of the Jungle District, Sims must engage in a series of adventures and clear away vines to access the gateways leading to different parts of the jungle. Each gateway requires Sims to complete a chance card adventure, adding an element of unpredictability and excitement to the exploration. While some areas are accessible right away, others are locked and require Sims to come back later and clear additional vines to gain entry. This method of unlocking areas provides players with a sense of progress and discovery as they gradually uncover all the secrets the jungle has to offer.
The Jungle Explorer aspiration in The Sims 4 is designed for players who want to fully explore the wonders of Selvadorada. More challenging tasks involve trekking through the jungle to discover relics and treasures, which can be a thrilling experience for adventurous Sims. Overall, the Jungle Explorer aspiration offers a refreshing change of pace from the usual goals and objectives of other aspirations.
In The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure, players can explore Selvadorada and develop their Archeology skill up to level 10. With this skill, Sims can dig up various excavation sites, authenticate artifacts, and combine relics and discoveries to create powerful moodlets. The main ways to improve this skill are by digging through dirt piles and authenticating artifacts. Focused Sims excel at building this skill, but the distracting atmosphere of the jungle and the challenges can make it difficult to maintain focus. While players cannot purchase a skill book for Archeology, Sims who reach level 8 can write their own books to help other Sims level their Archeology skill up to level 8.
The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure introduces the Selvadoradian Culture skill, which has a maximum level of 5. This skill involves learning about the culture of Selvadorada. One way to improve this skill is to engage in social activities with the locals, as well as to sample and enjoy the local cuisine. Interacting with vendors is another way to build this skill. As Sims progress through this skill, they gain access to new interactions, including new salutes and dances, as well as secret food and drink options from vendor stalls. In addition, maxing out this skill can help Sims when exploring the jungle, as they become more resistant to natural hazards encountered in the jungle.
