When girls are educated, communities are healthier and experience less maternal and child deaths. Women with secondary education make better health care decisions for themselves and their families. They are more likely to identify needed improvements to public services in their communities.
In 2023, Girls Golf reached its one-millionth participant since inception. To mark the milestone, the LPGA Foundation launched the #OneMillionMORE girls campaign to show its commitment to impacting the next one million girls by 2030. The engagement campaign will raise funds to reduce financial barriers for junior golf participation. Funds will directly support bringing new golf Girls Golf sites to communities with little access, while deepening the impact of existing sites around the world through grants and scholarships. Investments will enhance curriculum, refresh golf supplies, and provide resources to girls with financial needs.
By getting involved with Girls on the Run - whether signing up your girl, telling a friend, coaching a team, volunteering at a 5K, attending an event or making a financial gift - you are intentionally supporting all girls in your community.
More than 300,000 girls, ages 11-18, are members of USA Volleyball, and most of them play club volleyball outside of their high school season. Club tryouts are generally held in the late summer and early fall, and the club season kicks off in earnest January of every year.
The junior club season culminates in April for the 18s age bracket with the USA Volleyball Girls 18s Junior National Championship. In June and July each year, more than 25,000 girls, ages 11-17, compete at the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championship 11-13s and USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championship 14-17s. USA Volleyball continues to grow each year by hosting more than 1,600 teams, with nearly 100 courts active at once, across two national championship events.
Girls Rock! Chicago is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to building socially just community with girls, transgender youth, and gender expansive youth by developing leadership, fostering self-esteem, and encouraging creative expression through music.
GR!C is for girls, trans (of any identity), and gender-expansive youth ages 8-16. Campers can sign up to play drums, electric bass or guitar, keyboard, or DJ/Turntables. Camp week consists of taking instrument lessons, forming bands, writing original songs, and attending workshops. We welcome all skill levels and musical backgrounds!
