KProxyExtension is the definitive weapon against censorship. Bypass any filter and protect your identity with just one click. It is extremely easy to use and it works great even if you are under an Internet proxy (at work, university, library, etc). Also, KProxy Extension can be used by any program or device that can connect to Internet through a proxy.

You have installed KProxy Extension. Notice that you have a new icon, a gray hat, on the top right corner. KProxy is turned off at this moment. To start it, just click on the hat that will show a popup and then the big green button:

When you change to any available location, KProxy Extension will pick automatically a server for you, but also you can select a single server. Just click on the button that is on the right of the location, all servers for that location will be shown. You can change to any of them with just one click on the connect button. You may notice that you can't connect at this moment with PRO servers. You need a PRO account in order to access to them.

If you click on the account button, you will see the state of your account. If you haven't access to PRO servers, you will find how much time you have browsed and how much data you have transferred. For using PRO servers and unlimited access, you need a KProxy Account and purchase the PRO service.

The activation of your PRO account may take a few minutes, but probably it will be activated instantly. If you have any problem, you cansend us an email to sup...@kproxy.com and we will attend you ASAP.

Once started, KProxy Agent should configure the proxy settings automatically but you can do it manually if it doesn't work. Notice that once you have opened KProxy Agent you will finda tray icon saying that KProxy Agent is running.

Just double-click on it or right click and select "Change Proxy Settings". A new tab will be opened on your browser with KProxy Agent proxy settings configuration screen

If you don't find the tray icon, or the tab never opened, don't panic. Just open a window on your browser and go to :3333/kproxyagent.htmlYou will see how KProxy Agent autodetect your proxy settings, but you can change them manually and save them. You can back to autodetection on any time. If you need help on how to configure settings, keep readingthe next point.

Companies, universities, libraries, etc have filters very often to ban arbitrarily Internet sites. The browser then is configured to use a local proxy to connect to Internet. You can get the information with easy with Google Chrome:

KProxy Agent emulates an Internet proxy. Any program that can use Internet proxies, can connect to Internet using KProxy Extension. Other devices (in example a PS3 or a cell phone) that can configure a HTTP proxy can be configured to connect to Internet under KProxy servers.

- Antivirus is preventing KProxy Agent to start. Please, turn off the antivirus and windows firewall temporarily to check if this is the issue. If you found that this is the problem you have to configure your antivirusand/or windows firewall to allow open connections on port 3333

WebDAV is a file-transfer protocol, similar to FTP in that it is used to upload/download/modify files collaboratively on the internet. It is the access method of choice for the CIT-IS hosting environments (LAMP, Coldfusion, etc), because it allows users to use their CUWebLogin credentials to get access to their accounts, while still keeping file ownership and permissions on the server side consistent, so multiple users can safely share access to and collaborate on the same site.

The two popular options for using WebDAV in Windows XP are the Microsoft built-in DAV client, and WebDrive, a commercial offering with a lot of neat features. You can also use Dreamweaver and a free tool, Bitkinex.

WebDAV is based on HTTP, so while WebDAV URLs can be accessed in browsers like Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari, those browsers don't actually support the WebDAV protocol for actual uploading/downloading of files. What will usually happen if you visit a WebDAV share in a browser is that you'll see the contents of the WebDAV share served as if they were a webpage - such as getting the code for your index or splash file, instead of the processed code.

Here is where you enter the WebDAV URL you were provided at signup. This information is also available on the default splash page for your instance. It is usually just your instance's pre-production URL suffixed by -webdav.kproxy, for example, -webdav.kproxy.cornell.edu for a LAMP site.

You can now open your DAV share just like it was any other Windows folder from your My Network Places screen. You can now drag and drop files to your website account via DAV and interact with it as if it were a folder on your local machine. The first time you log in, you may be re-prompted for your NetID and password - just enter them again.
