Hi everyone,
We actually can using orion browser by kagi on ipad. I posted it here at -version-is-finally-here-but-i-cant-log-in-please-help/11106?u=irene_alred. But i cant log in so i cant really use it. Lmk if youre able to log in please. Thanks

Irene, Thanks for your sharing. I just downloaded orion browser. But it seems that I am not able to watch Netflix on this browser. Netflix keeps forcing me to use their app. How could you watch the series on orion browser? Thank you!

ive noticed i can use language reactor on ipad for youtube anyway, by going to this language reactor site here on the ipad then going to turtle tube. IT has a lot of selection of videos in your target language with the two sets of subtitles.

From Black screen with sound Netflix Help Center
If you use Airplay or Screen Mirroring
Airplay and Screen Mirroring are no longer supported by Netflix.
To use your iPhone or iPad to watch Netflix on a TV, use a supported connection.
Also it has to be an 'ad free; type of account:

True, but in this case legal won that battle. Plus it's easier. We use Swank for licensing the physical media playback anyways so we just tacked on the streaming service and we have our butts covered.

@ger Sorry if I am missing something here but you would assign license / push out the managed app via MDM / Jamf to the apple tv device, it is the same as the ipadOS app.
Instead of airplay you are now playing the content directly via the Netflix app installed on the Apple TV.

As unhelpful as it sounds, anyone that has a netflix account and wants to display content, will need to log into the Apple TV app then navigate the interface to play.
Airplay (I imagine) has less ways of ramming adverts down your throat so the main streaming apps cut off support as opposed streaming content directly in app.

Ok great. Yes either, just depends if they still have the remote but sign-in on screen.

* Yes we do, either by managed iPad or unmanaged iOS device.
* Yes it sure is, send out a profile to your Apple TV's and allow list either;

- iOS devices that are allowed to use Apple TV Remote app with this ATV
- Apple TV's that are allowed to be controlled with iOS / Apple TV Remote app

You can browse individual managed devices to select and it will populate: name and mac address. Otherwise, set to all allowed.

I have to use JAMF School, and it seems to be different to your PRO version.
In ATV Profile under tvOS payload / Apple TV Remote / I may allow all devices with Apple TV Remote App to control ATVs. Or I may enter the MAC-Address of allowed devices.

As I do not want students to use the Netflix App and as I do not want them to control the ATVs with their iPad, I did not select the ALL devices option.
For testing purpose I entered the MAC of my iPhone, WLAN and Bluetooth. ( do I have to enter it with or without : , like AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF or like AABBCCDDEEFF )
But I could not connect to the ATV.
I do not have your "Controlled Apple TV Devices" option, but I may assign a device group containing the ATVs to the profile.

Unfortunately my JAMF School WebUserInterface is in german and I can not find any setting to switch to english, Windows and Browser are set to english. My account information is even shown in english. :-(

Strange about not seeing the settings, maybe just confirm there isn't any filtering toggled on when creating the profile as those two settings are meant for different models and will disappear if filtered with the other device. Good luck!

I have same issue. About 3 weeks ago, the video didnt work only netflix and youtube app. I shut down my phone. Unfortunately, it wasnt perfect solution. I also did reset all settings. It seemed to have solved problem completely, but I get same issue now. I want to know which thing occurs this problem, with apps or IOS? No matter what it is, it needs to be updated.

Ipad on AP11 FW 1.4.1 is unable to stream video on netflix and IMDB

On the netflix APP, I get an error, Network Error, we could not play this video due to a network error. Pls try again later.

If I tunnel VPN thru the wifi connection, the same IPAD is able to successful stream video on netflix and IMDB.

All other android and windows PC is able to access netflix and IMDB normally.

I have already disabled the app control feature totally. But the traffic block still occurs. (Change to application activity summary)

@aberchin This is not expected behavior I have tested with an AP12 with an iPad running 13.3 and I tested Netflix and unlimited and limited bandwidth with 1MB and it still ran. Please reach out to support to assist in troubleshooting.

The log files show netflix-streaming or netflix-base as 'allow' but the session end reason is 'tcp-rst-from-client'. A packet capture reveals not a great for me to work on, a TLSv1.2 Encrypted Alert before the RST packets.

You may be running into a problem with the port numbers for Netflix on IOS being different from the ones identified in the application by Palo Alto. A good way to troubleshoot would be to unblock all traffic to a specific host IP address and view the monitor logs for the port and application accessed by it when you try to stream Netflix.

It will see it through the chromecast app, I can stream to it through youtube. BUt once I enter the netflix application and hit the chromecast button it does not see any chromecasts. Wierdly it does see a couple roku's and an xbox.

I've run into this exact weirdness on campus. Each of the past 5 chromecast setups were for someone using an iPhone and all 5 of them wouldn't work with Netflix, but Hulu, youtube, etc... everything else works. That and the Andriod Netflix for the same Chromecast works fine. Any chrome browser as well running netflix.

I spent time searching through every blocked airgroup service I could and still not sure. I'm surprised there doesn't seem to be more people with this issue. It works perfectly on an Andriod - and just fine for the students at home on the same two devices.

I editted my post until I could do some additional testing.. We just upgraded to ArubaOS 6.5.1.(4) from 6.4.3.(10) and IOS chromecast support has gotten worse. While I can still see the chromecast in Google Home, now I can't see it in YouTube where I could previously. I can cast from Chrome on MacOS and Windows, and Android can access it with all Apps, but nothing now from IOS. Does anyone have an active TAC call open on this or should I pursue it?
