Fuel injector pump and injector pop pressure settings

My Nonsuch 30U has a Universal M35 engine installed, probably an early marinisation of a Kubota V1200 as it has a Universal serial number of 35-0014, built I guess in 1987.  I cannot find a definitive statement for the range of the pressure settings I should expect to see for the operation of the fuel injection pump and also the pop pressure when testing the injectors.  Does anyone have sound information that I can work with?

Hello Peter

I have M-35 serial number 35-0003 or 0005. I also have in pdf format the service manual which covers models M-12 up to M-35. In the manual, I saw a value range for fuel injection pressure for the M-35 but I’m uncertain about pop pressure. Do you have the service manual.  If not, perhaps I can email it to you offline from the discussion group. Let me know.

Hi Ken

Thanks for your prompt response.  I have had sight of the M35 workshop manual and also referred on line to the various manuals for the base Kubota V1200 but the injection pump values differ.  I cannot find any value for the fuel injector pop settings anywhere.  My local marina engineer pop tested my recently replaced service exchanged injectors and came up with a value of 175psi which I feel is rather low.  Hence my enquiry of the Nonsuch community.  I will keep digging...
