Has any one removed the  varnish/finish off and just went with teak oil?
Thanks

I have the same situation and I’m interested in what you do.

Hi Bill,
For Soave, I considered going with teak oil, but decided to go with Cetol.

I find that with Cetol the refresh interval is longer that varnish or teak oil.

The trick with any finish is to stay ahead of the weather.

I sanded off the varnish on my cockpit grates recently and applied teak oil.
They look good.
Will send pic.

Years ago I washed the teak, sanded, applied two coats Sikkens, and two coats Sikkens gloss. It still gets compliments and requests for information. I lightly sand and add a coat of gloss every few years. That’s my routine and I’m stickin’ to it.

Thanks, I am pretty sure it should appear but perhaps not.
Anywho, I sanded and applied teak oil rather than sikkens.
I sanded and put three coats of sikkens to the hand rails.
Anxious to see how teak oil on eyebrow holds up.
