Hosted by the Mimico Cruising Club and the Royal Canadian Yacht Club

The schedule is designed to take every advantage of having two clubs as hosts.  You have a number of choices, and we suggest you look at the preliminary event schedule on the main event landing page (click here or the links below) before registering.

Sailing events start on Friday July 26th. Your choices are cruising with a lunch at the beautiful Cathedral Bluffs Yacht Club or triangle course racing. We will congregate at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club on Toronto Island for a reception afterwards. On Saturday, there will be coastal race via waypoints to Mimico Cruising Club or alternative cruise ending at Mimico.   All will stay on for the dinner and dance under a tent on the club lawn.

On Sunday, July 28th, all boats will return to the RCYC either in a coastal race where visitors without boats will have a chance to be skipper or by an inventive cruise.  You have options to choose all the races, all the cruises, or the hybrid option: a mixture of the cruising and sailing events. While it is intended that all boats overnight at both clubs, we would like you to choose one or the other as your home port. Some local boats whose owners and crew are not members of either host club may choose to remain at their own clubs and may choose that option.

For racers, a Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions will follow later, as will a survey to help the organizers to create the best possible event. Boats from the east may wish to overnight on Wednesday July 24th at Whitby Yacht Club: contact  Bruce Clark, and  download his Cruising Guide.

The organizers are using the Clubspot system.  To register using Clubspot:

      • You will need to create a Clubspot logon if you don't already have one (a simple, not uncommon procedure).
      • You'll be asked to enter information for the primary attendee first, then add name(s) for any additional crew/guests.
      • Charges are in Canadian dollars. Non-Canadians may want to check their credit cards for the lowest transaction fees.
      • You will also be charged HST which is a universal sales tax charged in Ontario.
      • After registering, you will receive a confirmation email, and will probably want to close the web page for security if you are not on a private device.
      • Please be sure to review the privacy policy so you will know what actions are needed if you have concerns about those issues.

NOTE: prices now on the Clubspot registration site are effective until May 31st.  Registration after May 31 will rise 20-30%.

Reviewing all the info it looks like:

Looks like breakfast (coffee and muffins) 26,27 & 28

Reception on the 26 & 27th with refreshments

Lunch on the 26th if you choose cruising

Dinner and Dancing on the 27th at Mimico

Awards reception on the 28th with light refreshments.

2 people/ boat at $550 + HST (13%) total price $621.50 ( about $455 for our US friends)

Not sure about dockage fees but it suggests dockage on the 25th and 26th at RCYC. Dockage on the 27th at Mimico and dockage on the 28th at RCYC

not a bad value really.....

Sunday for final awards and before the included dinner and dance on Saturday July 27th.  Lunch for those choosing the cruising option on Friday July 26th. The usual welcome package and keepsakes for winners. Two people per boat. Extra crew the same as anyone flying or driving at CA$275 per person  plus 13% taxes. We will add the possibility of buying extra tickets for receptions and the dinner at a later date - we want this to be the best social, racing and cruising event possible. We may also enable participants to order boxed lunches in advance.
Best,
Nick

IMHO, based on what things realistically cost these days, this is a beautifully-organized bargain. The bonus is that it's a Nonsuch Rendezvous with all of the extra goodies that such an event entails.
