Hello Nonsuchers...
I am purchasing "Pegram" N26 #157. She has spent her life in fresh water. I will be moving her to a new saltwater home. I've heard that most boats here in British Columbia are using Pettit's Horizon abalative paint. My question is, has anyone tried Pettit's Premium HRT? or have you heard from other boatowners who have?

John,
on a quick search I can find Pettit Unepoxy HRT listed in Canada but not the Premium HRT. The Unepoxy is a seasonal paint the Premium is the multi year paint.

Dick,
The selection of antifouling paints in Canada is limited. I don't think we can buy the slime resistant Pettit paints up here.

I use Pettit’s Hydrocoat and been exceptionally happy.  It’s an ablative so there is no buildup and it cleans up with water.

I have been using Pettit Hydrocoat for a few boats here in S.W. Florida, and have been extremely pleased. I once spent the considerable sum to upgrade to Hydrocaot SR, and was shocked to find the slime build much worse than the standard Hydrocoat after only a short time in the water.

I haven't done any disciplined testing, but that was enough to convince me to stick with the standard Hydrocoat. Good example of the old saying "don't fix it if it ain't broke".
