Ben,

You mentioned a while back that you were well connected to the app writers in the area. We have seen a big uptick in the demand for custom apps for sales and service support. We do a lot with visualization. Many of our large accounts have been asking us for iPad apps to use these skills to create tools to help either sell stuff or maintain it. Some of our projects include;

-          3D view of virtual surgical procedures using the latest endoscope tools

-          A virtual kitchen showing a complete set of appliances with functioning doors and controls

-          A virtual Wal-Mart where all the products are 3D renderings that you can take off the shelf and look at (yes all of them).

 

We are long on the 3D graphic skills but short on the SW skills to package this stuff into iOS devices. So far none of our customers have any interest in Android. We would like to find some freelancers in the area who could help augment our team. If you know of anyone you would recommend, please send me their contact info.
