Dear Fellow Ugandans/Investors/Manufacturers,
Dear Sir or Madam,
SUB: EARTH DAY 22ND APRIL, PLANTING TREES IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS, CLIMATE CHANGE RESPONSE:
Greetings from Greening Uganda. As the World Celebrates Earth Day 22nd April (THE SINGLE BIGGEST TREE PLANTING DAY GLOBALLY) , By this mail, we’re inviting you to join our 2026 annual Mass Tree Planting PROJECTS e.g., Green Schools, Community Tree Planting, Degraded Forest Lands Restoration, and Trees For Tourism. We run these campaigns twice a year coinciding with our rainy seasons March to June, and September to December. Our activities mainly focus on Urban Schools, Urban places of Worship, Urban Hospitals, Budongo & Bugoma forest degraded lands.
Our 2026 activities commenced on 21st March with International Day of Forests, flooding over to Earth Day 22nd April, ending on 23rd May 2026. During this period, of 77 days of tree planting, a total number of 1,000,000 Trees, will have been planted.
This comes as a response to Climate Change, to address the increasing heat waves, rough storms, prolonged droughts, more trees will be able to provide the most needed conducive atmosphere for the communities identified above. We have all just been through and witnessed, the hottest February in the weather history of our motherland UGANDA, with immense and unbearable heatwaves.
Similarly, planted trees will help carbon sequestering by capturing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and transforming it into biomass through photosynthesis. To safely DONATE on paypal, follow us https://greeninguganda.org/Donations
