Annual Civil Society Solidarity Meet 2026

24 January 2026, Trichy

Dear Friends & Comrades!

Hello and greetings from HRF.

Given the rapid state, national, and international developments, coordinated action of CSO networks in Tamil Nadu becomes essential to remain relevant in the evolving external environment.

To this end, the annual solidarity meeting of conveners of civil society campaigns and networks in Tamil Nadu is organised on 24  January 2026 at Tiruchirapalli. 

The agenda is:
a) Stocktaking: Review the health of the sector.
b) Coordination:  Joint/simultaneous programmes.
c) Sharing: Calendars, resources.

It is an opportunity to share the plans of our networks to harmonise them to maximise impact. 

The participants are conveners and co-convenors of civil society campaigns/ networks (maximum two per network, of which at least one should be a woman. Both women are also fine). 

The meeting is organised on a cost sharing basis (venue, refreshments and lunch) by a registration fee of about Rs 700 per person (shared actual cost). All participants will bear their own expenses for the meeting, including travel, board and lodge.

We would very much like you to be a part of this discussion and lead in shaping the agenda. Please confirm your participation by 9 January 2026. 

Please let us know the contact details of other campaigns/civil society networks to be invited, so that we can invite them also.  However, please note that participation is by prior registration only.
