Sub: Unfair Practice - Students forced to take Sanskrit Subject instead of English Subject in Class XI

  

Dear Sir           

 

We have the honour to bring to your kind notice that most of the Delhi Govt. Schools being crazy to show their good annual results, forcing the students to take Sanskrit subject instead of English subject in class XI (Arts stream). It is not only illegal and unfair practice, but also unethical and anti-students.

 

One of students, namely, Rita D/o Shri Gurjeet Singh R/o A-1642, Jahangirpuri, Delhi (M-9350612289), student of Class XI of the Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School, Block-A, Jahangirpuri, Delhi has made a written complaint dated 16/7/10 to us stating that the school has forced her to take Sanskrit subject instead of English subject. Rita has further stated that in the absence of English subject her future would be at stake and with Sanskrit subject she saw no future. A copy of the complaint dated 16/7/10 is enclosed hereto for your ready reference.

 

We have been receiving many similar complaints from the students of different Delhi Government schools. Master Shahid Ali r/o A-133, Mahatma Gandhi Camp, Shashi Garden, Patparganj, Delhi-91, student of Class XI of the Govt Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya, Patparganj, Delhi-91 has made a complaint to us that the Principal of the school has denied English subject to him and has been forcing him to take Sanskrit subject. It is a serious matter. A copy of his complaint is also enclosed hereto for your ready reference. The principals of the schools by adopting such practise are in fact indulging in unfair and mal-practices which required to be stopped immediately in the interest of the students.

 

It is, therefore, requested that necessary action may be taken in this matter directing not only the aforementioned schools but also to all other schools to not to deny English subject to students of class XI.
