The India Civic Summit (ICS) is back for its 2026 edition, a day-long gathering of active citizens, civic practitioners, community leaders, changemakers, and experts who care about making our cities work better for everyone.

Theme (2026): Citizens and Urban Governance
IITM Research Park, Taramani, Chennai
Saturday, 14 February 2026

ICS is designed to be practical and energising with curated talks, panels, workshops, and interactive formats that help us learn what’s working, share tools, and build real collaboration across cities.

What you can look forward to:

  • Inside the city government: how tech, data, and processes shape urban governance

  • Hands-on civic engagement tools you can use in your neighbourhood

  • Interactive sessions like Design Your Ward (a democracy-in-action simulation)

  • Networking with people working across issues and cities

  • Citizen Matters Spotlight, celebrating citizen-led initiatives creating change
