Hello,

I'm trying to do a local install on a wamp machine, with freshly
downloaded 503 files.

On step 6 - Modules to Install, if I select any of 3 modules (in-link,
in-news, in-commerce), the next step is a white page saying
"restricted access!". If I deselect all modules, the install
continues.

On Step 8 - Select Default Theme, if I choose "Install Demo content
for this theme", I have an error message with last DB query in a
window (this should not appear for average admin user, in my opinion),
and I can continue only if I don't install demo content.

Once installed, I've gone to Configuration > Modules, and I tried 2 things :
- if I select one of the uninstalled module clicking the checkbox,
and then I clic on "Activate" toolbar button, I have an in-portal
internal error message on top of toolbar (Fatal Error: Query method is
called in class kDBItem for prefix mod in
C:\Users\Vostro\Documents\#web\www\v5\core\kernel\db\dbitem.php on
line 1259)

- if I clic on "ready to install", I'm then logged off, and
impossible to login again on the login page. If I delete the data in
URL and just go to /admin/, I can login. I have a 404 message on right
frame, and when I go to Configuration > Modules, I see they are
finally installed.

Phil.

Hello,

all theses bugs happens only under Chrome, I've done a new install
using FF and I have none if these problems.
this is related to http://groups.google.com/group/in-portal-bugs/browse_thread/thread/d0e41c0c07ee26ec?hl=fr
, as there is a refresh when we install a new module.

Hi Dmitry,

it's working on FF, as I explained before, then we can exclude the platform, don't you think so?

Dmitry was asking if web-server operating system (windows/linux) does affect your problem?

For example does this all can be replicated when you using LAMP installation, not WAMP?

I've understound his question, and I said that I was thinking it was not OS dependant, but I can do the test :)

Can't replicate on LAMP (Chrome v 5.0.375.55)

Fixed in 5.0.4-B1

line 1259)

Reproduced, will be fixed in 5.0.4-B1 (task: http://tracker.in-portal.org/view.php?id=753)

impossible to login again on the login page. If I delete the data in

Both issues, where you suddenly got "restricted access" and "instant logout" problem seems to be cookie related. Normally you should not get SID in url during installation, but maybe you got one?

thanks for theses detailed tests. I'm encountering many cookies error in Chrome using v503 (infinite redirect), I then clear all cookies and then it works again...

I'm finishing urgent work today, I'll do my own tests on LAMP and keep you in touch.

Alex,

Quick question on http://tracker.in-portal.org/view.php?id=753 -- what if we just disable checkboxes for Modules that are NOT installed yet?

User still can select row by clicking on it directly. Best way to fix is to ignore non-installed modules during Approve/Decline button processing.
