Genesis 2:7-9,15-17 Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the
ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man
became a living being. The LORD God planted a garden toward the east,
in Eden; and there He placed the man whom He had formed. Out of the
ground the LORD God caused to grow every tree that is pleasing to the
sight and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the
garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil... Then the
LORD God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden to cultivate
it and keep it. The LORD God commanded the man, saying, “From any tree
of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of the knowledge
of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from
it you will surely die.”
To many, the concept of man being created is heresy because it means
that there is someone or something out there that is beyond us and we
do not like not knowing or being called inferior. This account of
creation is ridiculous to them that would rather put their faith in
believing that we are a result of chance, a chance so great that it
was the lottery of lotteries because everything as we know it just
'happened'.
What is God's purpose in creation and why would a creator give the
keys of creation to the ones He created?
In today's advanced world where man is creating far more complex
things than ever before, one of the elements that we try to remove
from our creation is control. We like to be able to control what we
have created because we do not want to fall prey to our creation and
to be able to steer it from our control.
In God's case, He breathed life into the nostrils of humanity and gave
us the keys to control our lives with one simple instruction, seek
life in fullness in Him and not in the world presently ruled by Satan
and his fallen angels. In our wisdom, we chose the world for it was
something we could see, touch and taste versus God whom we had to
submit to rather than having dominion over.
How interesting it is to study our beginning and know who made us, how
we were made, what we were made for and what our purpose is. Genesis
is His story, not ours because as much as we can see creation being
created and life being breathed, we can see clearly the maker of all
of it and glorify Him.
I pray today that you along with me will glorify God for who He is and
we would be able to chose life in Him rather than in this world which
will lead to our death and destruction.

Deuteronomy 30:19-20 "I call heaven and earth to witness against you
today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the
curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your
descendants, by loving the LORD your God, by obeying His voice, and by
holding fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your
days, that you may live in the land which the LORD swore to your
fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”
