Just got the Google Wallet "upgrade" and noticed the order information is virtually useless.  How are we supposed to verify the user's information for the purpose of a refund?  I've had my apps out there for over a year now and not a single customer requesting a refund has submitted their receipt or other information.  I easily could locate and process a refund by matching the name.

Apple removes this info also and have taken this one more stop and do not allow processing of a refund either, so the only recourse is a negative review.  Is this where Google Play is headed?

My QUESTION: What is the purpose for suppressing purchaser's information?

I am also facing the same issue. I am not able to see my customer's email address, as such I can not be able to update my database, in case of an internet failure after a successful purchase. Please Google should please display the customer email address and name. That will be highly appreciated.

Call and complain to Google, tell them something is wrong with the upgrade and that you can't view the customer information, they'll send you an email where you can voice your grievance.  Hopefully if enough people say something they will give us back our customer information.  Since we have to assume liability for our apps there is NO reason we should not be privy to who purchases them.

This all happened because some wa nker in Australia thought he was clever by highlighting the fact that google displays customer information to app merchants as a breach of privacy and some retarted news paper labelled it as a security hole in google's system.. Cant believe google buckled for these retards
