Hi all,
I was able to compile and boot imx6dongle/linux-imx and uboot-imx6dongle, :) thx.
I also downloaded Richtechie's sources from Armtvtech.
Now I want to boot Android 4.0.4 using Freescale Sabre sources. I succeded compiling it on Ubuntu 12.04 64bit and loading the new images into the gk802.
I can see the bootlog using a serial cable and it crashes trying to load mtdparts (i'll try mtdparts parameter with u-boot according to the "conv.sh" file from richtechie)
I'll continue trying and I'll publish here the updates. Any help is welcome.
I'm using the HiAPAD Hi802, PCB model V1.2 made on 2012-09-22
Problems "solved" with the gk802 so far:
* Without enclosure it becomes very hot. I've used a 12 inch fan near it and the temp can be monitored.
"cat /sys/devices/virtual/thermal/thermal_zone0/temp" now gives 63
cat /sys/devices/virtual/thermal/thermal_zone0/trip_point_0_temp == 100
cat /sys/devices/virtual/thermal/thermal_zone0/trip_point_1_temp == 90
cat /sys/devices/virtual/thermal/thermal_zone0/trip_point_2_temp == 80
* The Amazon basics usb charger Model: B005CG2ATQ ( 2100mA ) is not enough and it causes random hangs.
* I'm using a Trulink 81645 USB 4 PORT HUB with its 2.5A charger + microusb wire and nothing else on it just because I didn't have any other chargers around and it works with different keyboard/mouse combinations and even with two diferent webcams.
* None of the original firmware mods were stable. The only official one that is stable enough is the "GK802 R13.4-rc2 V1.65.4" with the "jan 17 22:21:04 CST 2013" kernel and those based on it.
http://vondroid.com/resources/categories/gk802.44/* I've read Hiapad published a fix to a previous firmware to avoid some hangs but I was not able to see any file or info on their website.
Best regards,
Iker De Echaniz.
