try working with perspex/acryllic sheet. I have put some email links on the matter.

Available in village Surajpur nearby, and cost between Rs 14 to 21 per sq foot. read more details and the work. Acrylic tubes are also available in marked to depict the pipelines. Valves can be shown from some burette tube cocks availble in the market.
