Kelly Ann Hu (born February 13, 1968) is an American actress, former fashion model and beauty queen[1] who was Miss Teen USA 1985 and Miss Hawaii USA 1993. Hu starred as Dr. Rae Chang on the American television soap opera Sunset Beach and as Michelle Chan on the American television police drama series Nash Bridges. She has starred in numerous films including The Scorpion King (2002) as Cassandra, Cradle 2 the Grave (2003) as Sona, X2 as Yuriko Oyama / Lady Deathstrike (2003), The Tournament (2009) as Lai Lai Zhen, and White Frog (2012).

Mumbai-born Reita Faria redefines 'beauty with a purpose'. After creating history at the Miss World pageant in 1966, she began receiving offers to act in films. However, she was quick to refuse these lucrative modelling and acting contracts and chose to concentrate on medical studies instead. She completed her MBBS degree at the Grant Medical College and Sir J. J. Group of Hospitals, and further went on to study at the King's College Hospital in London. She also married her mentor David Powell in 1971 and moved to Dublin in 1973, where she set up her medical practice. The 78-year-old continues to live in Ireland with her husband and two children, Deirdre and Ann Marie, and has five grandchildren as well.

The first big beauty pageant from India was won in the year 1966 by gorgeous Reita Faria. Reita was offered many modelling and movie contracts after becoming Miss World in 1966, but she turned them down and pursued her passion of becoming a doctor, earning her MBBS from King's College and became the first Miss World to become a doctor.
Dia Mirza was chosen by fate to be the winner of Miss Asia Pacific 2000. She was the first Indian candidate to win this crown in 29 years, and she gave India a hat-trick of international victories that year. Lara Dutta (Miss Universe), Dia Mirza (Miss Asia Pacific), and Priyanka Chopra (Miss World) all won international beauty pageants in 2000, giving India a hat trick.
Manushi Chhillar from Haryana won the Miss World crown for the first time in seventeen years in 2017 at Sanya City Arena, bringing the crown back to India and becoming the sixth beauty from India to make us proud.
