Location : Atlanta, GA
Duration : 12 Months
Rate:$50 to $55

Description
Senior Oracle DBA
• Minimum 10 years’ experience
• Oracle certifications – 9i, 10g, 11g, 12c (all preferred, 10g required)
• Experience with Oracle Virtual Machine 2.X and 3.x for x86
• Evaluate, define, recommend, and implement application database requirements in collaboration with County IT management and other staff
• Manage databases of mission-critical applications and ensure the safety of data
• Coordinate activities between County and vendors to implement purchased software & related hardware products
• Manage licensing requirements and promote cost efficiencies for Oracle software products
• Design and implement plans to achieve high availability, scalability, and recoverability of the County’s database systems
• Work closely with subject matter experts from various product and services vendors to design and implement sound disaster recovery and business continuity practices
• Install Oracle RDBMS on various hardware/OS combinations as required
• Create, maintain, backup/restore, and tune databases for development, test and production
• Create UNIX shell scripts to automate various DBA tasks
• Assist programmers and analysts in resolving application problems
• Coordinate with application vendors to install and configure necessary Oracle components in support of purchased applications
• Manage projects and tasks related to database and database server administration
• Must be available 24/7 for emergencies
