Dear Mont Tremblanters-

19 days and counting!!  I hope this note finds you all injury free and
tapering.  The reason I’m sending this note is because we are planning
a Mont Tremblant Send-Off Party.  Here’s the details:

Where: Rochester Mills Beer Co.  We've secured the same room where we
hold our general meetings.

When: Saturday August 11 from 12-2pm

Who: Any person racing Mont Tremblant, family of racers, and those
cheerful individuals who are taking time out of their busy schedules
to travel to a foreign country and cheer us on as we take on Mont
Tremblant.  And what the heck…anyone else who wants to give us a pat
on the back (or buy us a beer) to wish us well as we head to that
friendly land to the north.

Why: Ok, let me get this out of the way before someone accuses me of
it….this is a thinly veiled excuse to get us all together and drink
beer before we head to the race.  It will also be a good time for us
to get a good idea who’s left standing from the original 30 or so that
signed up, put some faces with the names we don’t know, meet the
families and spectators who will be cheering us on, and also a chance
for the spectators to meet each other.  We are also going to try and
put together a contact list of racers and spectators, hotel and travel
plans, etc… just in case something comes up.  Lori and Leigh Ann will
be on site with their video capturing equipment to try and interview
the racers for the special video project they’re working on.  There
will also be at least one (myself) possibly more people who raced the
half in June as well as countless people who made the trip for a
training weekend who can (try to) answer questions if you haven’t been
to the area.  And did I mention beer?

Please let me know if you plan to attend (and how many) so we can get
a general count.  Also please send this along to anyone who is coming
as a spectator or any well-wishers that you think would want to
attend.  If you cannot attend but would still like your name on the
contact list, let me know that too.
