Steelhead overnight and party

Hello racers.  I would like to confirm who is staying at my cottage with me for Steelhead.  I know you probably already did but please do it one more time.  I may need a couple of blow-up beds so bring one if you have one.  We can sleep pretty many in beds though.  Racers get priority!  Please bring your bedding and towels.  

Is there someone who would be willing to bring the Infinite tent?

PRERACE DINNER/PARTY:

Anybody coming for the race is invited to my cottage for a pre-race dinner/party.  Feel free to arrive any time after 4:00 on Saturday.  I'll have pasta and lots of snacks.  Let me know if you are coming for dinner.  And, if you would like to BYOB or a side dish, appetizer, or desert that would be great.  Reply to all so everybody can see what you are bringing.

My cottage is a little tricky to find once you enter into Linden Hills. (That is a series of private 1 way dirt roads for the cottage owners).

 Please look over the directions now and ask me if you have questions.  I do not have a land line and cell service is not very good. Texting works most of the time.  I'll be at the registration area Saturday afternoon so if you are there then text me. Let me know when you plan to arrive.

The cottage is right on the beach so feel free to bring friends and family.  Please carpool though because I don't have access to many parking spots.  We will probably have to shuttle cars around when you arrive.  I'lll put out signs for you to follow in the Hills when you get close (within 1 mile).  

PITCAIRN COTTAGE:

Address: 80136 Linden Hills, Covert MI 49043
Nearest cross streets are Blue Star HWY and 32nd Ave.
If you are having difficulty finding directions use the Covert Park address: 80559 32nd Ave, Covert MI 49043. Just before going into the Park make a right on Linden Hills St. and continue with printed directions - heading towards Lake Michigan.

Directions from 196: Take Covert exit #13 (You are now about 5 minutes away.) Go west. Cross over the Blue Star Highway (you will be on 32nd ave for 1 minute). Take an immediate right at Linden Hills St. (mailboxes will be on the left). Follow signs to Pitcairn cottage. When you get to the bottom of the hill you will follow the road, making a sharp right (it’s the only way you can go). You’ll see the Lake on the left. Look for parking signs that say Gurney/Pitcairn on your right. (If you start going up the hill again you’ve gone too far). Go up the stairs on the left marked Pitcairn– not the ones that say “private.” At the top you’ll see the cottage on your right which is white with green trim. Welcome!

Directions from I 94: Take Watervliet exit #41, turn north on M 140. Head north through Watervliet to Covert. Past Covert turn left (west) on CR 378. Go approximately 3 miles, cross the Blue Star Highway and follow above directions. 

The cottage is very easy to get to from the transition at Jean Klock Park.  Simply go north on 63 (changes name to the Blue Star Hwy) for 16 miles and then turn left on 32nd ave and follow above directions.  It is only 20 minutes away.
