I'm finally ready to reveal one of my Tremblant fundraising projects.
I apologize in advance for the lengthy email and thank you for your time/consideration!

I didn't want to miss out on the unique opportunity to do Ironman Mont Tremblant, this inaugural Ironman event
with such a large # of club members signed up and what will probably be my last Ironman experience.
(Never say never, thank you Justin Bieber). While a charity slot was my only way in,
figuring I won't get my professional triathlete requirements in before August 19th, I was
happy to add yet another discipline to my training, fundraising.

After careful thought and consideration...I have decided to raise money for
an instituion that has taken very good care of a dear member of this club - The Mayo Clinic.

Your contribution can help transform medicine, fueling the next great advancements in treatment and prevention.
As a not for profit organization, Mayo Clinic reinvests all earnings into giving patients the very best care,
finding answers to the toughest medical challenges and training the next generation of doctors and researchers.

There are so many worthy causes, I was overwhelmed thinking about it, but when
I broke it down, realized, the reason I am involved in Ironman and triathlon is because of
this club and Paul & Sandy and their passion for people and this lifestyle is the reason this club exists
and thrives. Sandy has been an unbelievably shining example of strength, determination
and positivity. Training for and completing 5Ks months after liver transplant surgery and
still raising the bar, working towards her first half marathon post surgery, she is obvious inspiration.

I wanted to get, what I think is, a great t-shirt in the works  (the sorority in me just won't go away)
for the Tremblant athletes, their family and friends and to the several club members
who plan on heading to Montreal to support us!

I know this seems like a very focused fund-raising idea, and it is, but I loved the
thought of being able to bring an awareness of our strong club representation in this event by
sporting the BEE yellow and black throughout training and then also throughout
race weekend.

Plus it'll be really easy for our supporters to see each other in the crowds.
Not to mention us athletes being able to spot our supporters as we whiz by during the bike, run or transitions.
What an awesome club picture we can get when we gather our troops and cheerleaders
race weekend if we're all wearing these!

Check out the art attached.

I plan to have the shirt  in a couple sizes at next club meeting
if you'd like to touch  or try on before you buy. I can also order in kid sizes!

Cost for shirt is $30 each and every cent of proceeds is going to The Mayo Clinic!!

I'd like to start taking advance orders so I have a good size print job to pass through  intially
and would  also  like to get  your shirt in your hands sooner rather than later so you can wear
during training  and at other club events. So please let me know if you are
interested and what size.

Please consider sharing this with any friends/family who plan to come and
support you race weekend,  as much of the idea behind this  is  to
be able to show a strong club representation - we want the people of Tremblant
and other racers to see this shirt EVERYWHERE!! :)

Thank  you again for taking the time to read this and for your consideration!

If the t-shirt does not directly appeal to you, but you are still interested in assisting my fundraising efforts
for The Mayo Clinic I should soon have a webpage up, sponsored by the Ironman Foundation, on which you can donate
towards my cause or you can also give cash/check to me directly and it will be donated in lump sum with
my other earnings.

Other future fundraising events planned include a Women's Wine Night in April as well as several "yoga in the park"
sessions when the weather gets nicer. We previously gave those contributions for yoga to Gleaners but
the yoga instructor has agreed to donate her time for the next few sessions and give any contributions to Mayo Clinic.
More details to come!

Thank you !

Thanks so much for doing this...these are awesome!!! Great design + great cause= win win!! Can't wait to sport my shirt all around town.

I had always envisioned my family cheering me on from the Mont Tremblant sidelines in hot pink shirts (surprise) but these shirts may cause me to consider the yellow alternative!

Thanks again!

I like it - a lot.

The fact that we are the 1% won't upset the Occupy Tremblant movement, will it?

Hello All,

I just saw this review of the bike course on Slowtwitch so I thought I would pass the link on.
I know Paul has already ridden it and sent out a review but just another perspective can't hurt.
Enjoy and train hard!
