At first, on behalf of PGDM-Executive Batch IMT Ghaziabad, I would take this opportunity to thank FedEx for providing us an opportunity to harness the experiences and learning’s from the people who are pioneers in the field of Logistics and Supply Chain.
The FedEx Facility Visit on Mar-13, 2013 has added to many aspects of our understanding of air-freight logistic operations. Owing to the fleet of questions that were answered by Mr. Taarek Hinedi, Managing Director – Operations, we had a feeling of being accompanied by great minds, backed by years of experience and yet, so humane. His openness and knowledge sharing helped us to have an understanding of FedEx operations and the values that FedEx stands upon.
Also, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Ms. Kanan Sood, Manger-Operations & Ms. Mahua Chakraverty, HR Representative for their insights on the various values that drive FedEx. Followed by Mr. Vimal Rawat (P&E Dept.) & Mr. Hema Kumar who gave us an understanding of the various processes followed in FedEx as a part of goods processing, custom clearance, import-export, facility planning etc. His session was very informative and provided us with significant information as how FedEx stands apart as a world leader in the Logistics and Supply Chain arena.
All in totality, the rewarding experience from FedEx that we had today has armed us with an exposure to a World Class Organization and will go a long way with us.
