Dear Lipi Mam and Sanjay Sir,
Thank you very much for giving us this wonderful learning opportunity to visit the FedEx Facility at IGI Airport. It was a rewarding experience that armed with an exposure to a World Class Logistics Organization as FedEx.
The visit started with the Heads of different departments addressing us on the structure of the organization, operations they carry out on daily basis, their distinctiveness in the field of Logistics and Supply Chain, business operations, Planning & Engineering etc. Furthermore, a visit to the low value cargo clearance warehouse gave us an insight of the processes involved (including customs). We were acknowledged by the openness and knowledge sharing of People at FedEx to our queries.
Altogether, the rich learning experience we had today will go a long way with us.
I, on the behalf of the whole GSCM Group members would like to thank you for your efforts and help for making this trip possible.

Thank you for your mail. We spoke on this. Ms. Das will reach out to you to discuss the internship for the students.
Also, I'd appreciate you giving me a list of things that would be required from the institute to organize the visit. As per our discussion, you had said that you will send a mail giving those details and I await the mail. I think you had said that you would need a mail (or letter not sure please clarify) from the institute requesting a site visit for the students to understand the express logistics work and the mail should list out the name of each of the student and attach their Photo ID and residence proof (preferably a passport copy, I suppose should suffice?). This will enable you to obtain pass for the visit and also customs permission for the students to visit the sterile (bonded) area.

Taarek, will it be possible to organize a facility visit to these 13 students at FedEx airport facility? It will help them a great deal. They are very keen to see what a modern warehouse looks like as I explained to them how tech savvy FedEx is and to what extent FedEx has invested in India.
They were quite disappointed when we told them that there was no project for their group as they did not have sufficient time. In fact I told them that I will do my best to organize their facility visit. This will motivate them and also enable them to talk about FedEx in all their futuristic activities as they involve themselves in the student and corporate life.

Just a proposal if we could arrange an extra PM class on Monday in lieu of the missed class on 13th wednesday. I imagine, third session should be free for all. PERT is what the prof is expected to take up between 3 - 415 PM. Can have him conduct the quiz thereafter.
