Dear IMTians,

Kerala has witnessed the most devastating monsoon since 1924, where the floods have taken the lives of more than 350 people over the last few days. 35 out of 38 dams had to be opened, and over 2.2 lakh people are struggling in more than 3000  relief camps. Lakhs of people have been stranded without basic amenities such as food, drinking water, clothes, medical facilities etc.  They have no homes to go back to and no necessities to start over. The threat of an epidemic  looms large as the water resides. The initial damage is estimated to be 19000 crores and may increase as it goes further!

Kerala Government, along with the deployed military forces, has been actively involved in the rescue operations. We need your help in getting life back on track from the grip of the devastating floods. Our friends and family live in these flood stricken areas. It is not easy to be away from them during these hard times, but this is the least we can do for them.

We are trying to raise funds from IMT to facilitate the working of localised and isolated rescue camps and also for the rehabilitation of all these people. Funds will be channelised through localised NGOs, trusted rescue teams & CM Distress Relief Fund.

Please extend your support to Kerala,we require it now much more than ever. Kindly transfer your contribution to any of the POCs given below via Tez/Paytm/ in cash.
