Dear All,
I know that many of you have already been through with your viva, but since I
do not have specific details, I am forced to send emails to the entire batch. Sorry!
Those of you who have already given your vivas, may pls ignore this email.
Since some of your reports and viva’s are pending, I’d just like to remind you all about the process and guidelines for submitting your reports in this cycle for the viva in July-August 2014.
I hope that you guys do remember, however, a reappear fee of Rs 500/- would be applicable. You need to submit the reappear fees via a DD (favouring IMT-CDL and payable at the location where you are going to give your viva) and bring the same with you when you come for the July 2014 viva set-up. Pls do write your name and roll number on the reverse of the DD.
PGEM, July 2012 and PGDBMO, July 2010 batch students pls note that this is your last chance for your viva before your course formally expires. Pls do not miss this timeframe.
I am sure that you all are working towards completing your project report and submitting it well in time for the viva in July-August 2014.
Pls do note that you need to have your synopsis status as either Approved or Approved with Modifications in order to be able to submit the project report.
In case you have not yet submitted your synopsis, you may now be able to do so in July 2014 (within/as per your course expiry period) and submit your report (if your synopsis is Approved/Approved with Modifications) before 30th November, 2014 for viva in January 2015.
Just thought I’d briefly recap about the dates and process et al for
clarity and ease of understanding.
The deadlines are as
follows: (for receipt of the hard copy format at the respective locations)
1. 10th June, 2014 (w/o late fees)
2. 25th June, 2014 (with late fees
of Rs 1,000/- via DD favouring IMT-CDL and payable at New Delhi). To be sent
alongwith the report
More details and updates regarding the timelines are/would be available in SIS under Project Synopsis Guidelines & Timelines.
Pls note that if, unfortunately, you are
not able to submit the report now, you may now be able to do so only in November
(within/as
per your course expiry period) before 30th November, 2014 for viva in
January 2015.
We have 3 locations for the viva;
you may choose the one which is most convenient. The locations are Ghaziabad,
Kolkata and Hyderabad.
Videoconferencing option is available only for students in remote locations in India or residing abroad (after prior approval from our side). You guys would need to mail me separately for requesting approval for the online vivas. If you are using this option, pls mark (by hand) “ONLINE” on the top sheet and the cover page of your report when you send the same to us.
However, EVERYBODY has to send hard copy reports. No soft copy
submissions are allowed in any circumstances.
All students need to attach a top sheet on the project report (available in SIS
as Project Report Submission Form) with your locational preference and you
need to send your project report to THE LOCATION chosen by you.
Online viva students will send their project reports to Ghaziabad only. You need to mark the packet to my name and write Online on top as well. We would not be able to keep track of the online viva requests otherwise.
The addresses of the respective locations are as below: (available on IMT-CDL website as well)

The viva’s are tentatively to be held from the 1st week of August. Online vivas would be held a few days later. Your unique dates would be out up in your SIS login around the 2nd or 3rd week of July.
All reports need to be in hard copy format and properly arranged and tied together, so that nothing goes missing while handling.
Suggest that you all get the reports and attachments spiral or hard bound.
Non-bound reports would not be accepted at all.
We do not take any responsibility for missing/torn pages and
attachments. Pls get everything bound securely.
Pls adhere to the deadlines and guidelines as prescribed above and ensure that
your project report is complete in all respects and includes all/any of the
following attachments as applicable:
Report Attachments (All are COMPULSORY):
1. Top Sheet with locational preference clearly selected (format available in SIS as Project Report Submission Form)
2. Project Report (complete with data collection, analysis, tools used, methodology, project background, theoretical review etc.) – Pls mention your name and roll number on the first page of your project report.
3. Printout from the IMT-CDL website of approved Synopsis

5. Resume and Signed Consent Letter (in original) from your project guide.
Pls note that in case the top sheet and/or the printout of the approved synopsis and/or the resume and consent letter of the guide is missing, your project report would be considered as NOT Submitted for the July 2014 viva cycle.
Pls superscribe your envelope – “Project Report” and write your name and roll number on it as well. Pls allow for courier and postal delays while sending the same.
Best of Luck!
Pls do let me know in case of any doubts/queries.
