Dear All,

your exams begin next Monday, so let me go through some ground rules to help clarify the same for you. (most of this you guys already know, but just a small refresher!)
(guys giving internet based exams as applicable have been sent a separate mail)

1. Carry with you the following docs:
a. your roll number (the 10 digit number)
b. your IMT-CDL ID Card (or any govt photo ID card like Driving Licence, PAN card, Voter's ID in lieu of the same in case you haven't recd it yet)
c. Printout of Admit card
d. couple of blank A4 sheets for rough work The centre may or may not provide the same, so carry your own. BLANK means blank!
e. Pen for signing, rough work etc.
2. NO books, or notes would be allowed.
3. NO CELLPHONES!
4. In case you have to wait for like 5 to 10 minutes to start your exam, do not worry. The timing of the exam is measured from the time you start your exam.
5. This is a CLOSED BOOK exam, pls give it in the spirit of the exam. Pls maintain decorum
6. Pls do not attempt to copy and share answers/questions with your fellow participants. This will lead to automatic shutdown of yours and your fellow conspirator's exam. NO QUESTIONS ASKED! The invigilator's decision is final in this regard.
7. Do stick to the timings and Do Press SUBMIT when you end the test.
8. Total test duration - 1.5 hours/90 minutes each
9. Test Type:
a. Total Questions – approx 60 (inclusive of One case study)
b. NO NEGATIVE Marking
c. Multiple Choice Pattern
10. In case you face a power cut or internet disruption or system error, we do normally try and restore the test to the point it crashed. But you CANNOT PAUSE the test in between. Once started you HAVE TO COMPLETE the test. The attempt would be counted.
11. In case of any tech issues, pls contact the staff at the centre.
12. For calculators and log tables, wherever required, pls note the following:
a. Only PHOTOCOPIES of log tables as required are allowed, NO tearing from textbook or SHARING
b. Only following tables are required/APPROVED - Time Value (QT, SAPM), z-Table (QT, MR), t-Table (QT, MR), chi-square table (QT, MR) as applicable.
c. Scientific Calculator is approved ONLY for QT (IMT 24), FM (IMT 59), Security Analysis (SAPM) (IMT 9), Working Capital (WCM) (IMT 7), Marketing Research (MR) (IMT 03) and Corporate Finance (IMT 61) as applicable to you.
d. normal calculator is allowed for FA (IMT 57) and other finance and Operations related papers
e. Do not contest with the centre staff in this regard. Please!
f. Do not try to use the calculator function in your phone/ipod/ipad.
13. Just some (cheesy) advice:
a. Take a couple of deep breaths before starting the exam
b. Remain focussed and calm, getting flustered is not going to help anybody.
c. Have faith in whatever you have studied, now is not the time to start thinking of what has been missed or what could have been done! Do not lose what you know for what you may not be able to recall.

BEST OF LUCK! :)
