Ustad Zakir Hussain (1951 – ∞)

On the first anniversary of his departure (in physical form), IMSOM fondly looks back at its long and deep association with the Maestro. Ustad Zakir Hussain graced the IMSOM stage as many as 15 times in its 45-year history, going back to 1983 - more than any other individual artist. Some of IMSOM's most memorable and hugely attended concerts (among its 500+ to date) had Ustad Z's name on the marquee. Sharing a collection of posters, flyers and press releases from some of those concerts, in loving memory of his art, his aura and his humanity.
