Welcome to the new and improved email list of the Indian Music Society of Minnesota (IMSOM). Starting in Feb 2015, all IMSOM announcements and communications hereon after will be delivered to you through this email list (this new googlegroup) while the older yahoogroup which you had subscribed to, will be shut down shortly.

We thank you for your continued support and patronage as IMSOM enters the 35th year of its existence, bringing you the very best in Indian music all these years. Mark your calendars for the fabulous upcoming Spring 2015 season.

About IMSOM

The mission of IMSOM is to present and promote Indian classical music in the Twin Cities, to foster an understanding and appreciation of the rich and ancient cultural heritage of India and to further fellowship among nations and cultures through music.

In September 2015, IMSOM will celebrate its 35th Anniversary of bringing the best in Indian classical music to Minnesota. By the end of 2015, IMSOM will have brought over 350 concerts, lectures and workshops with over 600 world-class artists, to a diverse and appreciative community in MN. IMSOM has been an important educational resource co-sponsoring concerts with several local universities, providing an enriching experience for the general audience and music students alike. The stability and exemplary service record of IMSOM over 35 years demonstrate its importance to the community and its ability to provide culturally unique, diverse, entertaining, and educational programming. We are taking all the appropriate steps in making IMSOM an even more important member of the Twin Cities’ vibrant arts community as we enter its 35th year. IMSOM is one of the oldest Indian music societies in all of USA.
